About Somerton Interfaith Food Bank

Founded in 1997, the Somerton Interfaith Food Bank has been a beacon of hope for families and individuals in need throughout Northeast Philadelphia. Our mission from the very beginning has been clear: to combat food insecurity in the Far Northeast. As a community-centered organization, our unwavering commitment has enabled us to grow and reach out to even more households facing challenges.

By the Numbers
Each week, our dedicated team of volunteers assists approximately 120 families and individuals, ensuring they have access to nutritious food.

Eligibility and Application
If you or someone you know is in need and resides in Northeast Philadelphia, we welcome you to apply for assistance. To ensure transparency and accountability:

1. Applications must be made in person at our office located at 510 Somerton Ave, Philadelphia, PA 19116.
2. Applicants must present a valid government-issued photo ID.
3. We currently serve residents from the following zip codes: 19116, 19115, 19114, 19154, 19152, and 19136.
